our opinion: the best way to visit rodrigues is to hire a 2x2 or 4x4 or a motorbike to be able to reach lonely beaches and secluded spots
main roads are in a very good shape trough the island
buses do pass near the house You will need some patience to get anywhere and must count with several bus changes during the journey.
people in rodrigues are used to walk They walk to school, they walk to work and they walk to the church for kilometres and kilometres. There are no fences; you just go straight up and down the hills until you reach the coast.
hitch hiking is common on the island If you have your own car, take people with you as well. there is nothing more exhilarating than to have a bunch of rodrigues school children on the backseat of your car chatting loudly in creole …
